Ghanaian actor Van Vicker and Music producer, Fred Kyei Mensah, have both endorsed policies implemented by Nana Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the upcoming 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections on December 7.
The two showbiz personalities in a Facebook post sighted by The New Publisher indicated policies like the Free SHS has enabled people who would never have had the opportunity to taste secondary education, to do so.
“The FREE SHS program has enabled hundreds of thousands of Ghanaian youth to further their education. It is not a perfect system (yet) but for the fact that an SHS student dropout can return to the classroom or for the fact that a JHS student can continue his/her secondary education for FREE is incredible,
“My secondary education expenses depleted mama’s savings so I kissed my dream of being a gynecologist goodbye. My narration today is not to say I regret my current profession but rather to unequivocally state that THE FREE SHS PROGRAM BENEFITS OUR YOUTH and only if it was implemented back in my day, my mother would have SAVED enough to eventually fund my tertiary education” Van Vicker made it known.
Uncle Fred, as some industry practitioners call him also wrote “The most vilified but the most performing president. He was accused of being a womanizer. That, he killed his wife. He is cursed. He is a short man so cannot be a President. He smokes wee. He is not a Lawyer. He is a litigant. He is corrupt. He is a traunt. He is tribal. He doesn’t respect his party elders. He is sick and may die soon. He is an old man. His family is cursed. You name it! But in all our elections in the 4th Republic, he got the most votes from his competitors. He is so loved. I am voting for him. He is NANA ADDO DANKWA AKUFO-ADDO. He is number one (1) on the ballot box. Vote for him and his parliamentary candidates,”
