VGMA fracas: Charterhouse can’t go without blame – M.anifest
Ghanaian rapper, Kwame Ametepe Tsikata, known in showbiz as M.anifest has faulted Charterhouse, organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), for the commotion that happened at the just ended VGMAs.
According to him, Charterhouse cannot absolve itself of blame for the circumstances that led to the brawl between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
Speaking to Bernard Avle on the Citi Breakfast on Citi 97.3 FM on Tuesday, the rapper and songwriter said he is disappointed in the event organizer, Charterhouse for excusing themselves from blame.
”A lot has been said and little has been done. I think one thing I will say from an Artiste perspective is that, I don’t think the organizers have been accountable enough. Charterhouse should have been more responsible and I am a bit disappointed in them for not taking responsibility but rather pointing fingers” he said.
He however alluded that Charterhouse must come out and apologize to Ghanaians, and take full responsibility of what happened. He also added that it will be unfair on their side to blame only Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy for the incident.
M.anifest has established his brand with a style of rap that fuses English, pidgin and Twi with afro rhythms.
M.anifest brand evinces a true blend of afrocentric and eclectic arts.
Some of his songs are ‘god MC,’ ‘Me Ne Woa,’ ‘Sugar’, ‘Be My Woman’, Some Way Bi,’ among others.
