Video: Kumasi robbers bolted with huge cash amidst gunshots

Armed robbers today, Friday, October 30, 2020 stormed Alabar Market, a suburb in the Ashanti Region leaving one dead, three persons injured.

The deceased has been identified as Anwar Hussain, who died on arrival at the hospital. The others wounded during the attack have been rushed to the Manhyia Government Hospital.

Traders were seen fleeing the scene that could pass for a movie as the robbers scared any obstruction while bolting with their booty.

The incident occurred at about 12:30 pm when the yet to be identified businessman had gone to the bank to withdraw cash and had barely left the premises when they zoomed in.

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested two (2) suspected armed robbers at Kumasi Santasi after engaging them in a shootout.

Meanwhile, angry traders at Kumasi Alabar besieged Ashanti Regional Police Headquarters to demand the killing of the two (2) suspected armed robbers arrested by them.
