We Need Information to Arrest Criminals – Police

THE newly-appointed Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Kwesi Mensah Duku, has insisted that credible information about criminals is all that the police need to be able to fight crime in the region.

In this regard, he has appealed passionately to the public to provide information about criminals that live amongst them so the security agencies would apprehend them before they strike.

“Credible information about the activities of suspected criminals in society is what the police service needs urgently from the pubic in order to enable us win the battle against crime”, he said.

DCOP Duku, who was appointed as Ashanti Regional Police Commander a few weeks ago, was addressing the media in Kumasi, where he outlined his vision to make law and order prevail in the region.

He pleaded with the public to report the activities of criminals in their communities and also urged media practitioners to team up with the police and other security agencies, so as to help expose miscreants, who terrorize the public.

DCOP Duku said it was his desire and vision that Ashanti region would be safer for the citizenry, and passionately appealed to the public for their cooperation and support.
