We Need to Support IGP – Allotey Jacobs
The Inspector General of Police, David Asante Appeatu has been criticized lately by Ghanaians after periodic killings of Police personnel in the country.
A section of Ghanaians has called on him to resign after the police attack incidence that occurred at Kwabenya Police Station.
However, the Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allotey Jacobs has said it is too early for Ghanaians to call for his resignation.
Speaking on Peace fm’s morning show, he said Ghanaians must assist the IGP to fight crime in the country.
“It is unfortunate we are experiencing this in his time as an IGP. We all need to help the IGP fight crime in the country,” he stressed.
He also entreated that the President should be meeting with the National Security Council on daily basis to engage them on crime issues in the country.
