It is scary how Ghana has developed taste for foreign products than the locally produced goods which has been a major concern and worry for some of the influential public figures in the country .
Observations and surveys indicate that Ghana might soon lose her cultural practices that are of great value and pride for neglecting produces made in the country for Indians .
Ace Comedian and television host of the KSM show , Kweku Sintim-Misa has expressed what he think might become of Ghana if we continue preferring foreign products to the local ones .
In a post monitored on his twitter handle , the Legendary comedy figure mocks Ghanaians for their unreadiness to invest in quality local drama but willing to keep importing “Twi speaking ” Indian telenovelas in the likes of “Kumkum bagya and the rest for a cheap cost .
He stated that we might soon import Twi speaking Indians to broadcast our local news if care is not taken .
KSM, who has featured in a number of movies of several productions including Sparrow Productions, also proffered few ways to build the industry.
“We should have a union of all casting agents so that it will be a union of those who simply cast the movies and then our Screen Actors’ Guild should be strengthened so that we have a strong Actors’ Guild. Let’s get together to and really form these things because once it’s done then we can all have one voice,’’ he suggested.
The actor added that there is disunity amongst actors with some forming cliques.
He is of the opinion that unity and collaborations will do the industry some good in the absence of a well-established structure.
