WEE DEALERS NABBED BY POLICE
THE ASHANTI Regional Police Command has made a major breakthrough in the fight against the use of illegal substances in the region.
This follows the seizure of 128 compressed slabs of dry leaves, suspected to be Cannabis, from two suspected male dealers. The suspects are Hammer Bageo and Osmanu Moro.
According to the police, the duo was transporting the substance from Kumasi to Techiman in a Geo-Prizm private car when luck eluded them.
A police highway patrol team suspected foul play and stopped the car at Nkwankwaa near Abofuor. The suspicion of the security agents was eventually confirmed as they found the suspected illegal substance, concealed in a huge sack.
The suspects were immediately arrested and hauled to the Ashanti Regional Police Command to assist in further investigations.
A police source told the media that the suspects are being handled by the Drug Law Enforcement Unit and would be arraigned in the coming days.
