Wendy Shay Reflects On Two Years Of Musical Career
Ghanaian Afropop and Afrobeats singer signed to Rufftown Records,Wendy Addo, known in the music circles as Wendy Shay has shared her lessons learnt as she celebrates two years of her music career.
In an interview with Doctar Cann in Accra monitored by The New Publisher, she shared that among the many lessons she has learnt in the music industry, she has learnt to be emotionally intelligent and also dress appropriately for different occasions.
According to her, these lessons were as a result of the experiences she had with Miss Gee and Ex-president Kuffour.
Speaking on the lesson of being emotionally intelligent, she said, “with the interview I had with Miss Gee, I have learnt to be emotionally intelligent”.
It can be recalled that in an interview with MzGee, Wendy Shay flared up when she was asked the question “Who is Wendy Shay?”. She responded by stating that the question was “a dumb question”.
However, the question by MzGee was a follow up to Wendy Shay’s call that “Ghanaians should accept her for who Wendy Shay is” during the interview.
She furthered that during her visit to the Ex-president’s house with other celebrities, she was jabbed by many people for her kind of dressing and that has enlightened her on the need to dress appropriately to certain occasions.
When quizzed by Doctar Cann if the occurrence was to prove a line in her ‘Uber Driver’ song that states ‘Kuffour p3 hw3’, she answered in the negative while insisting that it was a mistake she had learnt from.
Wendy Shay added that her only pressure in the music industry was to be a better person than she was in previous years.
Wendy Shay is known for her songs such as ‘Uber Driver’, ‘Stevie Wonder’, among others.
