YEA Chief Executive, Kofi Agyepong Writes On STEM…

The Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) competition at the YEA Job Fair was lit!

A big shout-out to Accra High School for their awesome Integrated Waste Management System initiative.

From robotics to biogas production, Ghana’s youth are solving real-world problems and leading the future.

What happens when Ghana’s brightest minds come together to solve real-world problems? You get a STEM showdown like no other. Today’s competition at the Job Fair was ALL about innovation and creativity, and guess who is making waves; Accra High School with their game-changing ‘Integrated Waste Management System’.

But that was not all… From biogas production to cutting-edge robotics prototypes, these students are showing us that the future of Ghana is in safe hands. And we had schools from all over the country bringing their A-game! Check out some of the highlights:

– Bosomtwe STEM SHS blew us away with their Wastewater Treatment Plant and cool LEGO Robotics Demo
– St. Louis Senior High stunned with their Smart Energy Meter & Crop Lens tech
– Afia Kobi showcased Autonomous Drones & Marine Rescue Vessels
– Kukurantumi Roman Catholic JHS rocked the Robotics Demo & turned plastic waste into pavement blocks!

I couldn’t help than to fire up the students with this powerful message: “You cannot fail yourself, and you cannot fail the generation to come after you!”
Which project inspires you the most? Let’s give a shout-outs to our future leaders and problem-solvers in the comments.
