The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has reiterated its earlier intention to streamline its sanitation module.
The implementation, according to the Agency, would improve the working conditions of beneficiaries under the module.
In a statement issued by the agency, it indicated that the implementation may go beyond its intended June deadline.
Earlier this year, the YEA announced in a press conference that the sanitation module would be streamlined to help it meet the intended goal of making the country ensure value for money.
The Agency explained that the delay in implementation was caused by developments that require very significant legal considerations and interpretations.
They further hinted that they have consulted the Attorney General’s Department through the Ministry of Youth and Sports, on advice concerning the best approaches to these developments.
“The agency has started putting the process of streamlining in effect but for the new developments, the intended deadline would have been met,” the statement mentioned.
YEA further assured the general public and stakeholders of resolving all the developments to enable them enjoy value for their money within the shortest possible time.
“We wish to assure Ghanaians and all stakeholders that the Agency will do everything within its power to restructure the module and ensure value for money in the shortest possible time,” the statement read.
Meanwhile, YEA has congratulated Mr Sammy Awuku for emerging the National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the just ended National Delegates Conference.
The Agency lauded its board chairman for his achievements both in the YEA and in the NPP.
They described him as a passionate and empowering leader that deserved the feat he had attained.
