YFM, Decathlon Mark World Cleanup Day with Beach Cleaning

YFM and Decathlon on Saturday embarked on cleanup exercise at the Coco Beach at Nungua in Accra to help reduce refuse at the shore and ensure the beautification of the beach. The cleanup was also to celebrate the World Cleanup Day.

This, according to Eddy Blay, Programs Manager of YFM, was masterminded by Decathlon to ensure continuity, beautification of the environment and the protection of marine life.

“YFM has always been passionate about keeping our environment clean and this is why we as Ghana’s number one urban radio station embarked on this great initiative. We were happy to team up with Decathlon to clean the Coco Beach and we look forward to cleaning more places in the city,” he stated.

Eddy Blay also acknowledged the support of some Ghanaians who were present at the cleanup exercise.

There were also aerobics, volleyball, surfing and other activities to spice up the clean up effort.
