Looking at Psalms 84:11, my mind goes to a poor and weak young lady in the Bible by the name Ruth. Ruth was powerless. When she got to the land of Bethlehem-Judah, she did not know any person. She just went with Naomi. In Ruth chapter 1, she had said to Naomi; where you go I will go, where you lodge I will lodge, your people shall be my people, your God my God and where you die that’s where I want to be buried. And the bible tells us that when she got to Bethlehem-Judah, the first farm land she went into to look for food was the farm land of a rich man called Boaz. She got in there and found favour in the eyes of Boaz. Boaz was her kinsman redeemer.
When she came back from the farmland of Boaz, her mother in law told her what to do in other to obtain rest on every side. She said, dress up, look good, apply good oil and use good perfume, go and stay at the feet of Boaz. Many immoral minds misinterpret that scripture. They don’t understand that according to Jewish tradition in those days; staying at the feet of Boaz simply meant she was saying to Boaz, redeem me. I cannot help myself but I know you can redeem me.
According to Ruth 3:11, Boaz said to her: “And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.”
The Redeemer says: “I will do it for you. I will do for you what you have requested” There is so much I can tell you about your Redeemer. Your Redeemer will always treat you with grace. The unmerited, undeserved and unearned favour of God. His grace has kept you. His Grace will exceed your expectations.
