PRESIDENT NANA Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s hopes of winning the December 7, 2020 presidential elections has been boosted in Kumasi.
Beneficiaries of the Youth in Afforestation Programme (YAP) in the Ashanti Region have marched through the streets of Kumasi to woo for more more votes for him.
Beneficiaries that took part in the march were holding placards that had inscriptions that stressed on the need to vote for President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Some of placards had inscriptions such as “Four more for Nana”, “Nana we are grateful”, “Forestry feeds my family”, “Our forest, our heritage” and several others.
Emmanuel Osei Aborah, the Ashanti Regional Secretary of YAP, said said they were grateful to President Nana Akufo-Addo’s government for introducing YAP to help them.
According to him, aside helping to protect the forest, the YAP has also created jobs for several unemployed youth, who were clearly struggling in life then.
Osei Aborah therefore entreated the electorates to have trust in the visionary leadership style of President Nana Akufo-Addo to transform the country for four more years.
Augustine Gyedu, the Ashanti Regional Forestry Commission (FC) Boss, also stressed on how the YAP had improved the forest and provided jobs for the youth.
