ZAF Premieres ‘Kobolor’: Stars Kalybos, Emelia Brobbey, Others

The Ghana film industry has over the years been through some rough patch but some zealous Ghanaian film producers, under the help and support from the Zylofon Arts Fund, are prepped to change the ill fortunes of the industry, bedeviled by sub-standard productions, disheartening distribution system and poor patronage.

The renaissance of a once buoyant industry is starting with Miracle Films with the high patronage at the gathering has premiered its first movie under the unbrella of Zylofon Arts Fund with providing funds.

In collaboration with the ‘Watch & Dine’ Cinema, Kumasi, the movie, ‘Kobolor’, from the stables of Miracle Films, held a successful grand premiere on Friday, Sept. 21, at 7 pm and 9 pm respectively.

In the movie, Alex, a very humble and quite looking man living with his wife Jessica and two children Amos and Frema faces problems in the family because of his low level of education. He is a Taxi driver while his wife, a professionally trained Teacher. His wife maltreats him almost everyday all by the contribution from her best friends she works with at school. Alex dies out of severe illness attack. His two best friends Asamoah and John contributes to his well-being and suffering whereas his in law (mother in law) comes in to inquire with his three brothers Ntiamoah (eldest) , Takyi and Sammy

Patrons at the movie scene at the Watch and Dine cinema had a blast and as always thepublisheronline.com has some beautiful images of the premiere.

The movie,which features fascinating movie personalities such as Bill Asamoah, Kalybos, Emelia Brobbey and a host of others promised to deliver an eclectic drama experience for the whole family and aftermaths of experience was such a great one.

Zylofon Art Fund for the past months has been keen on providing financial support for creative artists especially with much concern on the movie sector who are handicapped in executing their businesses.
