Ghanaian cinematographer Samuel Anakwah, referred to as Sammy Tuger in the showbiz industry circles has been adjudged ‘Best Cinematographer’ by ZAFAA, the biggest African Film Award in London and Ghanaians cannot help but be proud as he beat stiff opposition from three popular Nollywood cinematographers to pick up the accolade.
The Zulu African Academy Awards (ZAFAA) honoured him for his role in the production of ‘Royal Diadem’, a Ghanaian movie produced by Chris Brown and directed by Eddie Nartey.
Sammy Tuger is the Director of Photography of Juliet Ibrahim’s ‘Jewels Production’ and doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of renowned Ghanaian multimedia firm Anak’s Multimedia.
He has since expressed his appreciation to Ghanaians for their immense support and prayer.
Sammy Tuger has worked on international films that starred Hollywood actors Oris Eheuro as well as Jimmy Jean Louis of ‘Terminator’ fame.
On the local front, he has been a pillar in the making of movies such as “Shattered Romance, Could this be Love, Number One Fan , Royal Diadem,Every Woman has a Story,Brown Sugar (the wedding),Nwa Ghana among several others.
