Zylofon Arts Fund Board Seeks to Revive Kumawood
The board of Zylofon Arts Fund (ZAF), in their quest to financially support people in the creative arts industry, seeks to revive Kumawood after its recent struggles.
The Board, under the guide of its Advisor, Socrate Safo, were in Kumasi to interact with movie directors, producers, scriptwriters, marketers, distributors and other technical persons within the industry.
Stakeholders were enlightened on the rudiments, structure and benefits of the Zylofon Arts Fund.
The Communications Director for the Fund, Frank Kwabena Owusu, speaking on Zylofon FM, said “it is the mandate of the Board to visit all the regions across the country, to project the Fund and put in relevant clarifications to the people on matters relating to the Fund.”
According to him, the Board has already visited the Volta Region and would head to another region next month after the visit to the Ashanti Region.
The Zylofon Arts Fund is a scheme structured to support the various creative arts arms of the nation both locally and internationally, to boost the prominence of the Arts and Tourism in the country.
Already, some beneficiaries of the Arts Fund have been presented with their cheques after going through an intense process.
They include, renowned film producer of Venus Films, Alhaji Abdul Salam Mumuni, CEO of AA Productions Mustapha Adam, and Saddick Sulley, a social media comedian/actor known for his SDK-comedy skits, and Spoken word artist and poet Chieff Moomen with his Bambu Center.
